Elders Home Inc. Employee Steals Narcotic Medications from Seven Residents

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has completed its investigation of financial exploitation concerns at the Elders Home Inc., a nursing home in New York Mills, Minnesota.  A complaint was filed with the MDH alleging that an employee of Elders Home Inc. took narcotic medications from seven residents. The MDH investigated the matter and found that the accused employee took several hydrocodone tablets belonging to residents of the home whom had been prescribed the narcotics for various recurrent pains.  The MDH determined that the care giver is responsible for financial exploitation of the facility’s resident.  [Case no.
