MDH Determines that Valley View of Jordan Employee Stole Pain Medications From Resident

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has completed its investigation of financial exploitation concerns at the Valley View of Jordan assisted living facility in Jordan, Minnesota. A complaint was filed with the Department alleging that financial exploitation occurred when an employee of the facility took prescription narcotic medications from multiple residents of the facility. The department investigated the matter and found that the employee had stolen medication prescribed to five residents. The employee also altered and destroyed the facility’s medication records. The MDH determined that the caregiver is responsible for the financial exploitation of the facility’s residents. (Case no. HL20964005)
