The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has completed its investigation of financial exploitation concerns at the Edgewood Vista Virginia assisted living facility in Virginia, Minnesota. A complaint was filed with the Department alleging that an employee of the facility stole pain medication from several residents. The department investigated the matter and confirmed the allegation after the suspected staff member admitted to the theft. The MDH determined that the staff member is responsible for the exploitation of the facility’s residents. (Case no. HL21353018)
