Updated Details About the Ramsey Care Center Nursing Home in Minnesota

On March 29, 2013, we reported in our blog that this 178-bed nursing home had received a rating of “much below average” in its Overall, Health Inspection, and Staffing ratings, according to Medicare’s annual 2012 report. Unfortunately, based on Medicare’s 2013 report, the Ramsey County Care Center still is rated as “much below average” in its Overall Rating and “much below average” in its Health Inspection.

Ramsey Care Center’s repeated deficiencies include its:

  • Failure to hire only people with no legal history of abusing, neglecting or mistreating residents, or to report and investigate any acts of abuse, neglect, or mistreatment of residents;
  • Failure to develop policies that prevent mistreatment, neglect, or abuse of residents or theft of resident property;

Ramsey Care Center also received an additional deficiency for its:

  • Failure to provide necessary care and services to maintain the highest well being of each resident.
