The daughter of a resident at a London care home recently caught a violent attack on her mother with a hidden camera.
Jane Worrol was concerned for her mother’s safety after discovering suspicious bruising on the 82-year-old’s arms. This prompted Worrol to place a secret camera in her mother’s room.
What she found was terrible; a 30-year-old home assistant brutally beat Worrol’s mother, slapping her repeatedly on the face and thighs. Worrol turned in the footage to the home, and the assistant was eventually given an 18-month jail sentence.
Four other workers from the facility were also caught on the tape, and eventually fired. Worrol’s mother was transferred to a different facility soon after the tape was revealed.
