Iowa’s KCRG reports a former worker at Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn, Iowa, took a nude picture of a 78-year-old resident without her consent.
Amanda Sedina, a 35-year-old nursing assistant, was sentenced on Monday and charged with invasion of privacy. She pleaded guilty after the prosecution dropped the charge to simple assault.
The victim was bathing at the time the picture was taken, and it is not known why Sedina took the picture of the resident. Nursing home administrator John Doughty said that Sedina was fired after the incident.
