By May 29, 2012 No Comments

Mary Margaret Smith, an 82-year-old patient at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto, passed away after falling and cracking her skull.

Smith’s family is furious after being promised that she would be tended to at all hours of the day. The hospital promised that a nurse would stay by Smith’s bedside 24/7, but no one was around when she fell.

The Smiths were forced to make the painful decision of taking their mother off of life support the morning after the fall.
