WCSC South Carolina reports that Andrea Magwood, 68, the director of an assisted-living facility in North Charleston, S.C. is being charged with neglect.
Magwood’s bond is posted at $250,000 after the home was cited for improper treatment of its residents. An official contacted authorities after inspecting the home April 5, and one man was in such poor condition that he was immediately taken to the hospital. The facility was shut down last Thursday, and 13 residents were taken to the hospital for further examination.
Unfortunately, this is not even the first time Magwood has been charged with the crime of neglect. In 2004, she was cited for the same crime at the same facility.
