A home in Urbana, Ill. was cited last month for multiple health and safety violations.
According to a report by The News-Gazette, the citations included such items as “not providing an appropriately nutritious diet for some residents, not keeping prepared foods at proper temperatures, failure to keep narcotics in a locked box and not providing planned activities based on each resident’s functional abilities and interests.”
Specific violations included fitting a resident with a suspension boot on the wrong foot, unjustifiably supplying antibiotic medication to residents, and not following or monitoring certain patients’ diets.
While Champaign County Nursing Home has submitted a successful recuperation plan to the state, the home administration predicted there would still be fines assessed to his facility.
