The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the family of a recently deceased 90 year old resident of the Franciscan Villa nursing home is suing the home over the resident’s rape. The lawsuit asserts that when another resident had tried to sexually tried to sexually assault a different female resident, he was led away but left alone as the nurse got his medication. He allegedly then proceeded to enter yet another female resident’s room with his pants down, where he was again apprehended. He was left alone a second time, when he made his way to his final victim’s room, where he raped her. Reportedly, she died 18 days later after she stopped eating from the shock of the event. The lawsuit also contends that the director of the nursing home has refused to apologize to the family of the deceased.
