The Globe and Mail reports that the administrator of the Muskoka Heights Retirement Home has been fined $65,000 over a fire last January that killed two residents and critically injured several others. The early morning fire quickly grew out of control because the facility did not have a sprinkler system. The facility has since conducted several evacuation drills, in one of which, reportedly, a resident was left behind.
