WUSA9.com reports that a lawsuit has been brought against the Potomac Center Nursing Home of Arlington, Virginia in which eleven employees have been indicted for the abuse of a resident. The lawsuit has been brought by the resident’s wife, who has said that when she visited her husband, his diaper was saturated and never changed, his dentures never removed or cleaned, his fingernails long and dirty, his face never shaven, and his meals always covered and uneaten hours after mealtimes. The resident was partially paralyzed and had trouble breathing. When she noticed the poor quality of care he had been receiving, she set up a surveillance camera to keep an eye on his caregivers. The camera caught several employees beating him and one holding a pillow over his face.
