JSonline.com reports that a lawsuit has been filed against the Clement Manor nursing home of Greenfield, Wisconsin over the death of an 87 year old resident. The lawsuit alleges that the nursing home staff “inexcusably and unconscionably” ignored an emergency alarm resident bled to death after she experienced a cut in a varicose vein. The resident’s alarm was pulled at 12:25 A.M. and was not answered until 4:34 A.M. According to the lawsuit, when an emergency alarm is pulled at the Clement Manor, a light and sound alarm goes off in a nursing home office, which was apparently ignored. The lawsuit also alleges that the nursing home was short-staffed on the night of the incident.
