News10.net reports that a Roseville, California nursing home assistant was charged recently with stealing pain medications from 28 different residents. Marlene Delp, 63 was employed at The Terraces at Roseville nursing home. The owner of the nursing home conducted an investigation when he suspected that Delp had been stealing residents’ prescribed narcotic painkillers and replacing them with over-the-counter medications.
It’s obvious that for an elder in pain, over-the-counter medications will not suffice.
