AV Preeminent Rated
An AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating is an outstanding achievement and demonstrates that a lawyer has earned the highest rating available for their legal ability and professional ethics. A lawyer who attains AV® Preeminent™ should be very proud —so should his or her firm. When you help your lawyers showcase their rating to its fullest, calling attention to the outstanding expertise and ethical standards it represents, new clients can proceed with confidence.
Best Lawyers in America
Best Lawyers is the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. A listing in Best Lawyers is widely regarded by both clients and legal professionals as a significant honor, conferred on a lawyer by his or her peers. For more than three decades, Best Lawyers® lists have earned the respect of the profession, the media, and the public, as the most reliable, unbiased source of legal referrals anywhere.
Our lists of outstanding attorneys are compiled by conducting exhaustive peer-review surveys in which tens of thousands of leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers. If the votes for an attorney are positive enough for inclusion in Best Lawyers, that attorney must maintain those votes in subsequent polls to remain on the list for each edition. Lawyers are not permitted to pay any fee to participate in or be included on our lists.
Best Lawyers® peer-reviewed listings are now published in almost 70 countries around the world, and our presence has grown substantially in the international legal community. The nineteenth edition of The Best Lawyers In America (2013) includes 50,178 attorneys in 128 practice areas, covering all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and inclusion in this year’s publication is based on more than 4.3 million detailed evaluations of lawyers by other lawyers.
At Lawyer Legion, we are dedicated to helping people connect with attorneys who are best suited to handle their specific legal issue. We organized our directory the way attorneys organize themselves. We recognize the attorney’s membership and leadership in voluntary and specialty bar associations, board certification programs, and national non-profit legal organizations.
One of the best ways to determine a lawyer’s skill level and focus in a specific specialty area of the law is by acknowledging participation and leadership in these highly respected organizations.
Million Dollar Advocates Forum
Established in 1993, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum (which includes the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum) is one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. There are over 4000 members throughout the country. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members. The quality of our membership is very impressive and includes many of the top trial lawyers in the country. Many of our members have achieved numerous million and multi-million dollar results (several members have won billion dollar cases). Their practice areas include most areas of litigation, including: major personal injury, products liability, malpractice, construction, environmental, employment, insurance and business litigation. The common fact is that they have each demonstrated, in an objective and tangible way, their ability to accomplish superior results in complex cases. Certification by the Million Dollar Advocates Forum provides recognition of such accomplishment and a national network of experienced colleagues for information exchange, assistance and professional referral.
